White Asus Eee PC 1008HA is finally shipping
As I first reported earlier this week the White Asus Eee PC 1008HA was in fact delayed. I finally received word that my Asus Eee PC 1008HA would arrive on June 2nd. As you can see from the image above Amazon is offering the black for only $417

I see your product link up there to Amazon shows they have it in stock. When I go to the product page though it still lists the White model as “available for pre-order”. I’ve preordered the white one and was hoping to have it this week! Maybe it’s still delayed? You mentioned that your’s is shipping. Did you order the black or white model?

Yes the white version is what I ordered and it should arrive in my hands June 2nd. That’s odd it’s not showing up as avaialable for you.
If that’s the color you prefer I still say to just buy the white one. I mainly went with white to avoid fingerprint smudges. I had the 1000HE before and it was a finger print smudge magnet.
This netbook is just the right size, great for travel and the 10.5 hour battery life is great. Took a 10 day trip and only had to charge it once. Does everything I needed when traveling. Be sure to upgrade to the 2gb memory and if you want add Microsoft Word. Can’t wait to take it on my next trip.
