Rumor: Apple tablet netbook in October for $800
This is the biggest netbook rumor of them all - the Apple netbook. I know I've written about it on numerous occasions:

But this latest rumor has been the most credible since the very first murmurs of an Apple netbook. China Times is reporting that the tablet will be due out in October and be available for $800.
The main point of concern here is the price tag though. At $800 can you really call this mystery machine a netbook? I suppose by making it a tablet, adding on additional features, perhaps some better graphics and a higher res screen Apple could stand to differentiate it enough from the fiercely competitive and price conscious netbook shoppers - but I'm still not convinced.
What do you think? If the rumor is true would you pay $800 for this?

No, I would not. I think $499-$549 would be a reasonable price points.
In a heartbeat!!! I love my iPhone but the screen is too small for extensive emailing and web surfing. My Macbook Pro is awesome but it’s heavy and I have to drag all my gear along with it (bag, power cord, aircard.) This tablet idea (I’m picturing it to be the size and shape of the Kindle) would be the perfect solution for me.
