ASUS Eee PC 1005PR Now Shipping from Amazon

The highly anticipated ASUS Eee PC 1005PR is finally out and shipping at the price of $399.99:

The best part about the ASUS Eee PC 1005PR and why it's so anticipated is the fact that it combines two things rarely (if ever) seen in a 10 inch netbook:

1. 1366 x 768 high resolution screen (usually it's 1024 x 600)
2. Broadcom Crystal HD Accelerator for HD video playback / gaming

Many 12 inch netbooks don't even have that high of a resolution screen. Combine that with the fact that it gets an estimated 11 hour battery life and coming in at just under $400 you can see why this is exciting. I don't need to buy another netbook right now but I just may sell my ASUS Eee PC 1008HA and upgrade to this one.

Lenovo S10-3t Tablet Now Shipping

The Lenovo S10-3t is finally shipping at a price of $499.99:

I spent some time testing the Lenovo S10-3t while I was at CES in January so hop on over to my hands on impressions to check it out. What I find odd is that the Lenovo S10-3 netbook still hasn't started shipping yet:

In fact, the shipping time on Lenovo.com shows 16 business days for the Lenovo S10-3t and "Ships in more than 4 weeks" for the Lenovo S10-3. I'm surprised that the tablet started shipping sooner than the netbook because with other manufacturers I've seen the opposite.

Samsung N130 Now Shipping

Samsung recently announced three new netbook models - the N130, N140 and N510 and now the first of those three netbooks is available for $350.99 in Slate Blue:

No image up on the website yet, but when the netbooks show up like this the images are usually up the next day. Here are the specs:

I'm a little surprised by the weaker .3 megapixel webcam but when it comes to webcam's it's not like you're filming any movies with them and as long as Samsung sticks to it's roots the netbook will also have an amazing battery life too. Acer Aspire AS1410 now shipping at Amazon

The Acer Aspire AS1410 is now shipping with some very admirable specs for it's very low price of $449.99. In fact many would not call this a netbook, but because it blurs the lines and is an overall great machine (on paper) I thought it would be worth mentioning to you (keep reading for full specs):

I've highlighted the 3 specs that make this "lapbook" (see what I did there?) stand out from the competition. First, it features a 1.4 GHz Intel Core2 Solo ULV processor which is similiar to the Atom line in that it draws low power, but not as little as the Atom does. It also has 2 GB of RAM pre-installed so there should be little reason to upgrade. Overall it looks great on paper especially considering the price.

You can pick it up in three color choices all for the price of $449.99. Sapphire Blue is currently in stock while Black shows up as on pre-order and Ruby Red as temporarily out of stock. I'm sure these messages should be cleared up in the next few days thought.

After the mysterious listing of the Asus Eee PC T91 it's back for good. The highly anticipated tablet netbook by Asus has just arrived. The Asus Eee PC T91 is available for $499.99 on Amazon.

The Asus Eee PC T91 is an 8.9 inch tablet netbook and the very first of it's kind so it's very exciting to see it finally available. Now do I really need my Asus Eee PC 1008HA and a tablet netbook? I just might...

* 1GB DDR2 RAM, 1 x SODIMM Slot, 2GB Max.

The only aspect I'm a little disappointed with is the Intel Atom Z520 processor. I prefer the extra oomph offered by the Intel Atom N270 or N280 series. Other than that I'm pleased with the spec list.

Asus Eee PC 1005HA Shipping with more color

I missed this one the other day when the Asus Eee PC 1005HA started shipping; however, I discovered that the netbook is also available and shipping in colors other than blue and black.

There are actually several versions of the Asus Eee PC 1005HA available at Amazon.com. In fact, there are four colors with different battery configurations in total:

As you can tell it appears that the 10.5 hour battery life configurations are not available in White or Pink yet, but if 8.5 hours of battery life is enough for you feel free to pick up the 1005HA in White or Pre-Order it in Pink.

Update: NetbookReviews reader Shadi points out another difference between the configurations. The more expensive models also use Intel Atom N280 processors whereas the other options use Intel Atom N270 processors.

The Toshiba Mini NB205 is now available to order for $349.99. The netbook has been making headlines about it's very impressive battery life and by the fact that it's simply a great netbook. What's most impressive is that Toshiba is a relative new comer to the netbook arena and this is well built machine.

HP Mini 110 Now Shipping

The HP Mini 110 is now shipping. The latest HP netbook is available at an affordable price starting at just $279.99 for the HP Mini 110 Mi edition. This version comes with the Intel Atom N270 1.60GHz Processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB - Solid State Drive, HP Mobi OS.

For those of you more interested in the traditional Windows XP OS you can pick up that version for $329. It features the same Intel Atom N270 1.60GHz processor, 1GB RAM and a larger 16GB - Solid State Drive. The Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator should be available next month and it will improve HD video support.

When it's available on other retailers I'll be sure to let you know, but the early reviews on this netbook are good for the price.

MSI Wind X340 available in the US for $800

The MSI Wind X340 is now available in the US for $800. At 13.4 inches this is more of a notebook than a netbook, but I felt compelled to tell you about it simply because of how thin it is - at only 0.78 inches thick it's thinner than the Asus Eee PC 1008HA!
