Lenovo S10-2 Officially Announced
Lenovo has officially unveiled the Lenovo IdeaPad S10-2 netbook. This is an updated version of the S10 (read our Lenovo S10 Review here).

The product specs are listed below:
* CPU: Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz
* Display: 10.1 inch
* RAM: 1GB
* Storage: 160GB
* OS: Windows XP Home
* Connectivity: 802.11b/g WiFi plus optional 3G modem (changed)
* Battery: 6 cell (changed - now all models have this size)
* Price: $349.99 (no 3G modem) $399.99 (3G modem included)
* Textured design on the lid of each version (changed)
The main differences I've outlined above like the optional inclusion of a 3G modem and the standardization of the 6 cell battery. I'm disappointed in the lack of 802.11n WiFi, but the inclusion of 3G is a nice addition. Perhaps it's just me, but at this stage in the game don't you believe all netbooks should come with 802.11n as a standard?
What do you think? Sound off

I don’t think that 3G is a huge deal not to have — especially since it will cost you at least $20/month (probably more) in order to actually use it. I prefer to just tether to my smartphone – this way I have a data connection for both @ one price. Compared to the S10 however (which currently is only $277 w/6 cell in the Lenovo Outlet), I’d have to really think hard if the extra $50-$100 (depending where/how you get it) for the extra battery life and slightly slimmer profile that the S10-2 affords.
