Intel will add HDMI support for netbook chips in 2011

Most netbooks offer VGA out ports, and there are only a handful of netbooks that do offer HDMI out (Lenovo S12) but these netbooks that do have HDMI out don't support full 1080p resolution.

If the Fudzilla report is correct then all of this may change as Intel brings out the Ceder Trail-M Atom platform in the second half of 2011. The new platform promises full 1080p HD video and better graphics capabilities all around. Finally, this new chipset will offer 1080p video via the HDMI output which would be really great. I'd love to be able to plug a netbook into an HDTV and provide a picture that makes use of all 1080 progressive lines of video.

This prediction is a year off though and certainly isn't enough to make me stop drooling over the recently released ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PR though.
