    Intel – Nearly 1 in 5 laptops sold is a netbook

    Intel said that 16% of all global notebook sales were made up by netbooks and in Britain and Italy the number may be as high as 25%! Read full article here. The increased market share in Britain and Italy can most likely be attributed to the much lower mobile internet fees than for those of us here in the US. In any case, it shows what a recession coupled with a unique new product category can do to change the way we do mobile computing.

    I believe there will always be a place for netbooks now that they're around, but what do you think? When the economy turns around are more people going to be buying traditional notebooks?

      Well, I love my Eeepc. Especially with linux!
      I don’t think it would run very well with windows…

      But I think I will allways love netbooks.

      I got all my friends to want one too!
