HP Mini 1000 Review
Pros:
Great design, sturdy keyboard
Cons:
Weaker product specs when compared to other 9 inch netbooks
Bottom Line:
The HP Mini 1000 is an improvement over the HP 2133 mini note - HP's first netbook; however, it still suffers from some critical design flaws. Besides losing the very popular aluminum casing the netbook still relies on two touchpad buttons on each side of the touchpad. While the arguement can be made that the buttons were placed in this manner to allow for a larger touch pad, I believe they could shrink the touch pad a tad and find a spot to place the buttons below the touch pad. I personally get frustrated when I use netbooks like those offered by HP and the Acer Aspire One with this design choice, but if it doesn't bother you the HP Mini 1000 is a great netbook. (note, be sure to view the look at the specs where you intend to by the HP Mini 1000 as there are several HP Mini 1XXX model variants)

I cannot scroll down to the bottom of pages on many programs which makes it worthless to me!!!!!! For example entering info on google earth push pin window!!!!
Hey Robert, that is more of an issue with a low screen resolution – not the netbook. Perhaps you should check out the Dell reviews. You can opt for a higher resolution netbook when you configure it there.
