The XP install went without a hitch. Toshiba's Wi Fi utility is dirt simple. It lists all available networks and a single click has you connected. I went online and d/l Firefox and open office, set up the included Skype, transferred my bookmarks and in less than 30 minutes, I was rolling.
As with any netbook, I had to remind myself of it's purpose; light duty at less than blazing speed.

For now I'm cleaning up microsoft's garbage ware and Toshiba's "free offers" and generally having some fun surfing.
I expect the 160 gig HD will be plenty sufficient. A 2 gig memory stick is on the way, as is a sleeve to protect the finish. I desensitized the accelerometer and the touch pad to smooth out their operation, and added a bluetooth laser mouse.
So far I appreciate the build quality, the look, the light weight, the keyboard and the sleep and charge usb port. the minor annoyances of accelometer and toucy touchpad were readily delt with with some fine tuning.
BTW, this is the nb205-n310; $399 at Amazon.
