Angry First Annoying Impressions

so I recently decided to take the plunge and spend the money on a Netbook. I did a ton of research and after a while I got into paralysis analysis. At the end I bought the Toshiba N205 - 311/W. After a few hours of playing around with it and loading the necessary Divx Codecs for watching movies I realized that there is a major flaw in the design. The FREAKING POWER BUTTON LIGHT that Toshiba installed right in the middle of the netbook. So stupid. When you try to watch a movie the light is so distracting almost unbearable. I wonder if there is a way to turn it off while the computer is running. Not sure.

Outside of the stupid light the system is actually pretty good so far.

lol no machine is every perfect. Maybe cover it with some black tape?

The screen bezel bothered me too much to consider buying it.

I'm a Mac guy. The Mac power button blinks. I mean serious enough for my wife to throw a coat over the computer to black it out at night.

I look over at my Home Office space at night and see light on the Mac, light on the mouse, light on the speaker, light on the cable modem, light on the power bricks, light on the extension cord, light on the printer and a light on each of the routers.

That's on my side. My wife's side is the same!

Some people turn everything off at night. I don't. All my stuff runs 24X7.

Tape is messy. Try fingernail polish.

Get a bottle of testers hobby paint, whatever color matches your Eee. Tape around the power LED. Apply as little as possible (power off, battery out) to the LED with a hobby brush, touch up as needed.
