Default Toshiba NB 305

I want share my experience of Toshiba NB 305. With in 3 weeks of the purchase of the Netbook, there was a notice through the Bulletin Board for a updation. After updation I tried to re-start the netbook, as prompted, and there goes my Netbook. I got it repaired under warranty. They said the mother board (Or that is what I understand) had failed. I asked why??????????? No answer!!!!!!!!!!! I send many mails and there is no answer at all. Remember I spend $60 for the transportation. How many more $60 will be required

Can anybody tell me what might have been the reason????????

It really is impossible to give you a reason why your netbook might have failed. Even if one of us had been there while it happened, it still would have been extremely difficult to recognize just what is going on. Hardware failures, specifically ones with motherboards and graphics cards, are hard to identify and normally involve some BIOS work.

We also can't answer the question of how many more times is this going to happen. That all depends on the condition of the repair and how you treat the netbook afterward.

I have bought a Toshiba NB305 netbook. This is Windows 7 Starter, but my network is dependent on Windows XP. Currently, I install Windows XP on a netbook when, SATA controller is set to compatible. 27C0h82801GB/GR/GH Serial ATA storage controller.
