Default NB250 Performance Breaks

Hey guys.

Got a Toshiba NB250 some months ago, and since then I've been experiencing some weird and random performance breaks in some instances.

The most noticeable instance is while watching youtube videos, even at low resolution. The video usually starts out fine and then suddently the playback gets really slow. It only gets back to normal again once I wait a bit. Even restarting doesn't always solve it. The same happens, even if not as common, while playing movies with any player. Tried WMP, VLC, and tons of others more, and altough they start fast, they get gradually slower until I'm literally at 1 frame per second.

The same happens with games. Not heavy games, of course, games that my friend's netbooks with the same hardware run perfectly. Worms Reloaded, regular internet flash games, even Baldur's Gate runs bloody slow sometimes!

The performance seems to fall at random intervals, without any apparent reason it seems. Even with all the background clutter terminated they still happen. At first I thought it was probably a virus or a spyware of some sort, but the scans are clean and I'm pretty sure the performance breaks have been happening since I bought it. Hardware-wise, I never had problems with it and it seems to be working perfectly in every other aspect (the battery even lasted me more than the advertised 8,5h!).

Any ideas?

Check to make sure you are running the latest drivers. You may have to perform a full system reformat if things don't get solved. Either that or you can contact Toshiba so they can service your netbook.
