Everyone knows that the butler who polishes the rich man's silver lives to an old age - or looks old anyway. I don't think fear, uncertainty or doubt are good approaches to life or buying keyboards. I'm in favor of boldness, dominion and informed choices not these kinds of uninformed choices.

What is known is that nano-silver is one of many products we use all the time which kills germs. I happen to be using alcohol for the same effect right now, selectively, on only one finger for a glucose test.

How about the most toxic places in the home. Don't forget the germs pouring from your showerhead. And, the ever present cell phone. Look out for the toothbrush germs. This toothbrush article has a suggestion to microwave your stuff to clean them.

Okay, I admit I saw your post and thought the neo-Luddite topic sounded interesting for a netbook forum. AFAIK, I have never seen or handled nano-silver in any way. I just wanted to draw out your FOE agenda so you could post more. Keep the discussion interesting.

I think it is a real horse race about what will destroy the earth. Nano-silver is a late starter. Disease, the out of balance relationship between naturally occurring organisms and naturally functioning immune systems, has a run at it. Climate change, of course limited by our knowledge of recorded history, may have a real good run. War is a challenger now that we have non-personal weapons. Even random planetary collisions may have a good run at destroying the earth.

Nano-silver laced socks, washing machines and keyboards are going to have to improve their standing to even have a chance to nose out the Big Four horses of destruction. Will I be lucky or unlucky to be alive to see it?

I saw a girl with the sky blue one on campus yesterday and by gosh it was beautiful. I didn't know it had a full glass screen instead of the plastic bezel, so they def win points int he design area...
