Default If I Upgrade...

...it will probably be to an NC 10. I wanted one to begin w/, but the price was more than I budgeted. I note that Samsung has released a newer version, but the NC 10 still gets higher reviews, so I need to hear from people who own or have owned both. Which one do YOU prefer and why?

Hey Beth,

Sorry I'm still trying to get my hands on a Samsung myself. Sadly I don't think we have a ton of Samsung members here on the forum just yet.

I think the main problem with no one having a Samsung netbook is that they are so expensive while offering little to nothing over the competition. They had a netbook which seemed interesting. I think it was the NP-N110 as it came with "2.1 speakers." There was a "subwoofer" under the netbook. It seemed nice on paper. My old Dell notebook came with a subwoofer on the bottom and it was actually an improvement over other notebooks. Granted, it wasn't really a subwoofer but more like a larger speaker. Still, the sound coming out of my notebook was better than the majority of notebooks out at the time.

I was kind of thinking that the Samsung would be the same. That was until I tried playing audio through it. The Asus Eee PC 1005HA produced the same level of sound, I was severely disappointed.

It would be nice to get input from people who own Samsung netbooks though. Their products look pretty stylish. I just wish that they would try to do something to differentiate themselves from the rest of the N270/N280-GMA 950 crowd aside from putting a "subwoofer" under one of their netbooks. That and charge less money for their products. At least they aren't as bad as Sony.

Samsung is one of the greatest brand that NC can have.Normally it is much more reliable to use than NEO.NEO is cool but the quality is not that much good.
