Default Perfect Driver :Titleist 910 D3

The Titleist 910 D3 Driver replaces the 909 D3 model which we thought was one of the best woods Titleist had made to date. So could they improve on this? Well we think they have with the introduction of the SureFit Tour Hosel in their 910 drivers.
The SureFit Tour hosel is a new form of adjustable hosel that for the first time allows the loft of the club and the lie angle of the shaft to be adjusted independently of each other. Titleist call this a ‘tour van in a hosel’ and the advantage of this system is that for the first time golfers can adjust the set up of their driver in way that they do on a tour van. Rather than using adjustability to influence left to right flight the SureFit Tour hosel adjusts launch conditions. The lie can be changed using four positions over a range of 2.25 degrees with each position giving around 4 yards of dispersion with the same loft. Keeping the lie the same and changing the loft through the 4 settings will add around 825 rpm per setting. The best setting for you is determined by your local friendly Titleist fitter using a handy 4x4 matrix that Titleist have put together using numbers a letters that appear on the hosel sleeve and ring.( Titleist 910 D3 Driver)
Titleist research says they expect 90% of golfers to adjust loft and or lie by one setting away from standard. In order to increase the accuracy of the fittings changes, Titleist have also improved the manufacturing tolerances for loft on the face and lie angle on the hosel by 50%, which is very commendable. Having been through the fitting process, we can confirm that the results are very impressive as they allow you to get the correct set up and launch conditions for your swing. We would expect most people to get their fitting setting determined when they purchase a club and then stick to it rather than change it depending on course conditions.
The Titleist 910 D3 Driver has a lower profile, a thinner crown and a deeper centre of gravity thanks to a bezel weight in the sole that be adjusted too. The Titleist 910 D3 Driver has a slightly smaller 445cc head with a deeper face, giving an MOI figure of 4660 and a lower spin rate. The cast titanium head also features a forged titanium face insert that has a thicker central portion equidistant from all points around the face perimeter. Compared to the 909 D3 driver, the Titleist 910 D3 Driver has a 10% larger sweet spot.
We found the Titleist 910 D3 Driverto be every bit as good as the previous 909 version and it is a little easy to move the ball felt and right than the 910 D2 driver. There was a slight improvement in forgiveness from the larger sweet area and the optimised sound and feel at impact were excellent. Combining this with the SureFit Tour hosel and you have a driver which should meet all the needs of the better player.
