Candy and catsup stains are very similar to each other for the carpet maintenance. First, get the excess candy or catsup up by blotting with a paper towel or scraping with a butter knife. For catsup stains only, go a step further to neutralize the spot with an ammonia-water mixture as described for blood stains.C
