Smile coffee drinker's favorites

My secret vice? I get to drink coffee. Not only that, my wife makes it each morning and delivers it with a hug.

I like Arabica freeze dried coffee mixed with soy milk. Two teaspoons of crystals in a half cup of boiling water plus a half cup of soy milk. And the hug. My private paradise.

I am a product of public schools(though a different experience cause it was a rural 4 room school for grades 1-8, so was multi-age and different!) and would love to have a way to measure the difference. I too have a master's Degree and love coffee, though I wouldn't characterize it as paradise! How nice to get such pleasure from small things!

I used to be a big coffee drinker. I didn't get into it until I took a 4 month internship in Cincinnati, OH with the U.S. EPA. I had to wake up at 6:00 AM, go into the office at 6:30 AM, get out by 3:30 PM, and then go to the store (or something) and spend 2 hours in bumper to bumper traffic on a 5 lane highway. Needless to say, I needed something to motivate me in the morning and motivate me for the afternoon.

Back then, I was content with simple Folgers coffee, powdered cream, and splenda. I didn't like to use the liquid cream as my coffee would get cold, the same with milk. I required too much cream due to my coffee maker. It was a simple $30 maker that came with two travel cups. It would output directly into either one or two cups, very nice when I was going to work as I would just take a cup and go. However, it would always make strong coffee. The nozzle on its output was kind of blocked with plastic so it required a pretty high pressure to get through there.

I then graduated to a $450 coffee machine. I am not sure who makes it (the name looks Italian) and it uses these small cups. The cups contain a premium blend of coffee and the maker outputs to either a small or large cup. The little coffee sources contain the coffee and filter, they can also be used about four times. I can go to Sam's Club and purchase a 100 pack of these things for about $30. Not that bad considering that a 100 pack will last me for two months. I also need less cream and splenda with this coffee (even if I make it strong). That is what I have now. I will wake up, make a large cup, take it to work with me, go home for lunch, make another large cup, and take it to work with me. I have these new cups that can keep the coffee warm for up to 3 hours. They were a gift from a co-worker (who also drinks a bunch of coffee). I don't know how these cups do it but I can go back to work at 1:00 PM and my coffee is still warm by the time 4:00 PM rolls around (whenever I leave).

So that is what I do now. However, I also like my energy drinks. Monster is my absolute favorite. The only thing is that I must be careful with them. I can have 3-4 cups of coffee, in a day, and can still get to sleep at night. I can't go over 3 Monsters. There was actually a time when I had to switch over to the night shift when running a project. I was working the night shift for an entire month. My body was not used to it even after a week of working. So I purchased an 8 pack of Monster. I drank 4 Monsters during the night shift to keep me up. I went home, fell asleep for 8 hours, got up, went to work, and had another 3 Monsters. The caffeine had built up in my system so much that I didn't sleep for 3 days. It was absolutely terrible. I even took a prescription sleeping pill to help me, it didn't do anything. I have learned my lesson when it comes to those damned energy drinks. I still like them though.

They have these new energy shots. I can have one Monster energy shot in the morning and it will last me all day. I thought I read that it had around 200 mg of caffeine. I know that it isn't healthy but there are times whenever I don't have my coffee packs or feel like something different.

I have also been drinking Mountain Dew game fuel a lot lately. It will be gone in August so I want to get my fill. I like the same flavor that they released in 2007 whenever they slapped Master Chief on it (from the Halo series). The Mountain Dew contains more caffeine than normal, one can peps me up about as much as a small can of Red Bull does.

Default bold coffee, grind beans

We have a grinder now so we buy beans to keep frozen and grind them as we use them. We buy bolder flavors and add powdered flavors.

We stayed at a BnB with a coffee maker with little flat packets of coffee to put in a machine and output to a cup. Nice but I'm a pot drinker to give me several cups a day.

I think the both things are the best for all the day long. The energetic break fast and the healthy relation ships give you best enough energy and passion to do work with passion and you may prove your abilities well.
