Easy come. Easy go.
Here is the PC World
Analysis Of course, that is only with the 10.6.2 update, so far. The update 10.6.1 still runs fine on Atom netbooks.
The analysis above says the Apple user experience is protected by 10.6.2. It fixes the feature/bug of losing data when logged in as guest. Also fixed are issues with font spacing, brightness settings, improperly formatted E-mails from Exchange servers, Mobile Me syncing, and about three dozen other problems that affected the previous version of Snow Leopard. It also includes a number of security updates. Now that's a good list of user experiences. I wonder why they weren't protected with the first release? Sort of makes the $29 Snow Leopard disk behind the times.
I really like the 21.5 inch iMac hardware but learned that Apple has changed the hard drive temperature sensor connector. If you want to upgrade the hard drive, you have to use the same brand of hard drive. How about that partnership? The buzz is the iMac has a whistle in mid-brightness ranges. Also some users report scratched CD/DVDs with the too tight slot loader. I think I'll wait for the 27 inch i5 roll out.
I'm also waiting for Apple to report that iTunes, iLife and Final Cut Express are fully 64-bit capable. It would be nice to have 64-bit drivers for all my accessories too. Now that would be a good list of user experiences.
In the mean time, I'm enjoying my netbook experience.
