Default Ion DirectX

I have no use for Ion or DirectX 10 on a netbook. My netbook is limited to email, surfing and some personal software like language study. I'm not going to replace my 6 months old netbook for a new model nor am I going to buy Seven when I have a license to run XP.

The netbook does not seem to me to be a good platform for gaming and video but I can certainly understand the interest and development that some put into it.

Providing a standard 3D development platform for Windows-based PCs, it also provides software developers access to powerful hardware features without the need to write hardware-specific code. For gamers and video enthusiasts, this translates to reliable, higher-performance graphics when you're playing games on your PC."
