Default New NetbookReviews Design Live

The new Netbook Reviews design is up and live. There are a still a few of the features that are still in the process of being implemented, but overall I think the site is much more user friendly now. Rather than a strict blog format, the new design allows you to see more content without [...]

I like the design. It is a bit more crowded but that allows us to have more information given to us without having to look around too much. The new posts area is nice as I no longer have to scroll down through the page to see the most recent news posts. The big blue buttons at the top of the page are also nice. All-in-all, I like the new design. It is still simple yet we are given access to more information through the top links and the links to the far right.

Great! That's exactly what I was shooting for (I was worried about it being too crowded though).

It is kind of a double edged sword. It is impossible to add more information without getting a tad bit crowded. That is alright though. I had to scroll a lot to see the entire page yet almost everything is at the top now. I only have to scroll down if I want to see category specific links. Even then the links go down to about 1/3 of the page.

I also noticed that the page is a little wider than previous. There are now about 20 pixels on each side of the page that remain unused. I like that better on my 1366X768 netbook screen. The 1024X768 screen of my tablet is filled while browsing. So page placement is better.
