Thumbs up After Opening Box what to do?

Hello. I would like input as to what should I do after buying a new netbook. My plan after buying it is to head to a bookstore, buy a book on netbooks, and see what I can do. I imagine I might have to use the power adapter since the li-ion battery may not be charged. I'd appreciate the input.

If you haven't already done so, I would suggest that you read some of the reviews of the netbook you have chosen. If you have already made your buy, read the instruction sheet that came with the netbook.

I installed the 2GB RAM first, installed the battery and then charged my netbook overnight. The next morning I turned it on to see if the RAM was recognized. It was. Then I plugged in my ethernet and started downloading programs I use like Adobe Reader, VLC, Opera, a free virus checker, free firewall. That sort of thing.

Enjoy yourself.
