Default If you were buying a new netbook in the next 30-60 days what would it be and why?

Just as the question states, what would you get and why.

Just curious what everyone is looking at. Thanks!

I don't have a model...but here's what I would want for main features:

11.6 or 12" screen with at least 1024x768 resolution
2GB ram
Windows XP or W7 Home (not Starter)
200GB+ 5400 RPM drive OR 32GB+ SSD
5+ hour battery
Make & Model must be first released in USA after 1/1/2010 (since you are asking me to buy in April or May it would thus already be 4-5 months old)
Price: Under $400

I haven't really looked...but if any of you know any models that fit the above, let me know and maybe I'll buy one!

Realistically I will likely buy another netbook (or replacement) by early 2011...my Dell Mini9 is great but I just hunger for something with a larger screen and a bit more power on the CPU...I can wait.

I would likely purchase one of the new Asus Eee PC models with the ION 2 platform. I am not familiar with their specs just yet but I know that they are running the Atom N450, N470, and some other Atom processor. I think they will have the options of the 1.66GHz, 1.8GHz, and 2GHz Atom processors (I believe the later two aren't officially out yet).

Either that or the Toshiba ultra portables I am always talking about. Then again, I recently visited an official Apple store over here and the 13" MacBook Pro and MacBook Air really looked good. I probably would have walked away with one (likely the MacBook Air given the huge decrease in price it experienced not too long ago) if they were running something other than the aged Core 2 Duo processors in them (such as a Core i5 or i3, the later being really power efficient while providing solid performance).

Default best netbook???

The best small all around computer I've ever had was the Apple 12in Powerbook. Still in the house in Duluth somewhere but I had to move on.

I'm looking at the ASUS Eee PC 1201PN. Same size. Higher resolution screen. N and Blue Tooth. A 500GB cloud storage add on. Put the RunCore 256GB SSD in it for a possible package price around $1000. All day computing and I may be in love.

I would get a used/refurbished EEE 900 or 900a. I'd like the atom processor since I already have a 900 and there is a known battery drain issue with the celeron processor.

The sole reason to get this netbook is to try/tweak various linux OSs. I'd like to try various Ubuntu distros and maybe Linux Mint, but I am not interested in wiping xandros from my original 900. It works great and is stable, but isn't the most current OS and I'd like more flexibility for tweaking the machine later.
