I actually like reading on the computer. But that's just me.
So do I...I am on my work pc for probably 8 hours a day, then another 2-3 on my home pc.

But...there is a BIG difference between reading all sorts of documents, web sites, colored pages/text, different font sizes, etc. on your computer all day compared to reading a single digital plain white/black text PDF for 3 non-stop hours. Huge huge difference.

A proper e-book reader is going to have a very special screen that is dedicated to helping you read just like you read a book now. If these special screens existed 25 years ago, the ebook revolution would have started way back in 1985 and not 2008.

Default computer eye strain

Microsoft says stop squinting. Mayo clinic says intense eye use from anything is reason for rest. Visionworks says change posture and glare factors. Allaboutvision has a ten step plan.

Take your choice.
