Default Fast start for the Goose

Five front-nine birdies have sent a still-hot Retief Goosen into the early lead in Thursday\'s first round of the Joburg Open.
But the 42-year-old South African veteran was not there alone as he chased a first European Tour victory in five yearsTaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ Irons with graphite shafts
Six rivals were right up there in a tie with him after also taking their early scores to 5-under, including English Tour rookie, Tommy Fleetwood and unheralded Swede Joel Sjholm who had both played 15 holes, Swede Peter Hedblom. who like Goosen and Scot George Murray had each negotiated 12 holes, Ireland\'s Damien McGrane, who had just made the turn, and England\'s Jamie Elson, who most remarkably, had only played six holes byTaylorMade RocketBallZ RBZ Irons with graphite shafts

But he must know that on a course giving away as many birdies as this, he is going to have to keep on picking up shots coming down the closing stretch if he is to stay out in front.
