Default When you don't have lots of space for programs...

....I am a photographer who purchased a netbook to take on the road. I didn't/couldnt' load PhotoShop, but wanted something to process images with when on the road. I think I have found the perfect solution today....Picnik at Picnik - Photo editing the easy way, online in your browser.

This is photo processing at it's easiest and FREE and ONLINE to boot! I have two images one right out of the camera and the other with exposure tweeked on Picnik at Story Hour Photography Blog. Scroll for the two different exposures.

This is not to imply that Picnik can replace PhotoShop. It CANNOT! But it does include cropping, exposure adjustments, sizing, rotation, text additions and lots more!

Glad to have found it!!

Beth

Beth, I visited your blog and enjoyed the photos. The rope on the fence has nice texture in black and white.

Check to make sure Picnik cannot use your photos for commercial ads and that the photos are restricted to your use only.

In previous posts you have mentioned difficulties with online access. Has anything changed to be able to edit online?

You've found a good use for a netbook. I like your creativity. Keep it up.

I have yet to check to see if Picnik can use my images. Will though! Thanks for the heads-up!

I have had no problems with Picnik....yet! Will let you know if problems develop.

Default Replacement w/ PhotoShop 7 Installed

This netbook was a demo model, so it comes w/ several programs installed. NO warrantee though....OUCH! I'm hoping it's worth it, but I'm scared! Can't wait to have PS to use on the road though! What a luxury!
