Default Gateway LT22 netbook RAM upgrade?

Hello,

I am wanting to upgrade the RAM on my Gateway LT22 netbook.
Found at http://support.gateway.com/s/noteboo.../LT22sp2.shtml
(I realize the specs say it is a AMD V105 processor, but mine has the Neo K125)

It currently has 1GB RAM, there is only 1 slot for memory on the netbook. (The sticker on it says ELPIDA 1GB 1Rx8 PC3-10600S-9-10B1, EBJ10UE8BDS0-DJ-F, 1014GK773525)

The specs sheet says it is "upgradeable to 2GB using one single-channel DDR3 SDRAM soDIMM module".

I have found a few available for purchase, but I am not sure if they are the right one because they are 1066mhz and/or 1333mhz.

My processor is a "AMD Athlon II Neo K125, 800mhz FSB, 512kb L2 cache"

Does the FSB 800mhz mean that I need to find RAM that is also 800mhz, or will the 1066mhz or 1333mhz memory do just fine? Will I see noticeable performance change depending on if it is 800/1066/1333mhz?

Thanks in advance for any replies or suggestions!

[UPDATE]: I found a Kingston 2GB RAM that works perfectly. Part # KVR1066D3S7/2G

Glad to heare you got everything up and running. I was going to suggest that you e-mail Gateway (which is actually Acer) and specifically ask them the specs of the RAM that your netbook runs.

I want to upgrade my p.c's RAM. Is it best to go to somewhere like P.C World and pay to get it upgraded or is it easy to do yourself?
