Default Help!!!

So I was on campus and leave my ac adapter cord there; and I never saw it again. Simply put, I lost it. I have a Gateway LT2030u; and it's awesome... I've called Best Buy and even went there; but i've been told that they don't have that ac adapter available yet. Would it hurt to use the one from my laptop... or buy a universal one? Or has anyone been in the same situation and have some advice? Please reply!!!!

Default lost power supply

Check the stats on what is required and compare it to what's available. Post the stats so we can see what you need.

I don't know what exactly was on the AC adapter, I would definitely have to stop by Best Buy again and look on the adapter that's with the display model; but here's what the features of the netbook are... I"ll have to stop by Best Buy again and take a look at the specifics of the ac adapter from the display model

Nice stats fuelish13. You should enjoy your netbook.

Google the model of Gateway you own and look for the stats on the power charger. It will probably be a 100-240V, 50-60Hz input with a 12V, 3A or something output. My Asus model is 12V and 3A so that makes it a 36W charger.

The only other thing to check is the size of the plug and the polarity of the pins.

Go into an electric store and ask for help. The staff will be able to tell you what your computer takes and may have it in stock.
