Default Have you upgraded your Mini9?

Hi...any Dell Mini9 owners here that have:

1)Upgraded the ram from 1gig to 2gig
or
2)Upgraded the SSD drive from 16gig to larger SSD?

I'm not looking for theoretical replies like "check out this youtube link!" or "it should provide better performance" or "my friend's neighbor's sister-in-law's cousin upgraded it and he thinks it runs faster"...I'm looking for someone here who has actually done either (or both) of the 2 above. If you have...what have you noticed for improvements?

My Dell Mini9 seems fine and I am technically bright enough to upgrade the 2 above...I just want to know if it's even worth my time or money by hearing from someone who has already gone through the process.

I primarily use the machine for light web surfing and iTunes streaming (stream music from my desktop iTunes wirelessly).

Thanks!

-Eric

Sorry Eric, looks like we don't have to many Mini owners as this thread has been dormant for some time

I own a Dell Inspiron Mini 9 for 1 year now. At first I was hesistant to buy one as I haven’t heard a lot of reviews about it yet. Even with my love for Macs, I am really tempted to buy one of this. I liked my Dell mini 9 so much and put it forth as a flawed but admirable machine. The thing with this notebook is that it’s very lightweight and sleek and elegant. Also, this laptop is very compact that it can be easily carried around and it has the XP window for a lot of us that preferr XP.

Although I haven't upgraded it yet, I'm satisfied with everything about it for now.

One thing: Great find!

Upgrading your Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook will give you more storage space as well as increase the speed of your netbook. The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook comes standard with an 8 GB solid-state hard drive that can be upgraded to a 16 GB solid-state hard drive if you are using a Windows operating system or a 32 GB solid state hard drive if your netbook came with the Linux Ubuntu operating system. The netbook comes with one 1 GB DDR2 SDRAM and can be upgraded to one 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM module.
