Question Asus free 10gb storage as installer?

I'm reading that Asus gives a free 10gb online storage for the first 18 months. Is there a way to use that space as an installer since there is no built in CD drive?

Good question. I've not used the free space for anything and, in fact, have never even connected to it even though I am an active Asus user.

With an empty drive, you'll probably need a USB drive with the proper support files to connect and transfer a previously cloned OS file set to your computer.

If you try it, please post some instructions.

I'll have to see if I can figure anything out. I'm not a power user by any means. I'm thinking more in terms I guess of uploading files from my current pc then copying them into the Asus, about like I'd do with a thumb drive I guess. I'm going to look into an article I read about using OpenOffice and other similar files from a thumg drive with no installation at all.

Default installer

You might want to take a look at nLite as a tool to rework the XP CD to remove some unnecessary files then use WinToFlash to make a USB installer.
