Question Asus w/ Atom N280 vs Atom Z520???

Looking at a couple of models, one has the N280 at 1.66ghz and the other has the Z520 at 1.33ghz. Other than the obvious speed difference and model number difference what is the difference between the two? Is there some sort of master reference that gives benchmark numbers for the various processors/models? I really want to make a well informed and good decision. Thanks.

Intel provides details on the Z520 and the N280 to check differences. Note the difference in FSB Speed.

This benchmark test, if your eyes are good enough to check the fine print, will show the N280 above the Z520.

I use an Asus 1000HE with the N280 but my main netbook is an Asus 901 with the N270 and both are ranked above the Z520. Both travel well but neither are speed demons.

If I had to tote a computer around in a car/van/truck I would get a SSD hard drive for durability. Both my computers have a SSD and they work well for my train and plane travel.

You might want to tell us the tasks you need the computer to do and/or the software you must use so you can get suggestions from actual users.

Edit: There is more on this thread here.
