Default Asus 1005PEB or 1005PE

I'm looking to buy my first netbook and think I've decided on Asus as the brand. But, there are so many! I have looked at the 1005PEB and the 1005PE (as in 1005PE - MU27-BK or the 1005PE-PU17). Can anyone tell me if there are any major differences between the PEB and the PE? I've looked at the specs until I am cross eyed! How about the 1005PE-PU17 vs the 1005PE-MU27? What can be different? Thanks so much!

The specs are the only things different between those two netbooks and even then the differences might be subtle. Back in the day, Asus was selling the 1000HE netbook and there was a specific Best Buy 1000HEB version. The differences between the two were rather small. The Best Buy one had an older processor and smaller battery, that was it.

In the case with the two models you have listed, the difference lies in the battery. The 1005PE-MU... has a standard 6-cell battery good enough for a factory estimated battery life of 11 hours. The other netbook has a battery life rating of14 hours as it comes with a high capacity 6-cell battery. That is it. Both netbooks are the same other than that one difference They both have the same processor, amount of RAM, hard drive, operating system, display, casing, etc.

So it doesn't matter which one you go with as you will get the same overall performance, one of them is just going to last about 2-3 hours longer than the other on a single charge.
