Default Itunes Using 90%+ CPU Usage!!

I have an Asus Eee PC 1005PE with win 7, avast virus, win defender, win firewall with 1 gig ram. I am going to use this netbook to watch Itune movies and such while on trips but when I downloaded a TV Show in SD and attempted to watch it the video stuttered and the sound cut on and off . This never happens even when streaming with Netflix. Looked at CPU usage and Itunes alone is at 90-100% CPU usage!!!! What the heck is this about? Tried quicktime alternative tried shutting some prodcesses off that I saw on the net could cause this issue with no luck! It is just weird The video is jerking and sound goes out. This does not happen when playing any video except through itunes and quicktime. However when I play trailers off the apple site that I am sure is with some form of quicktime no issues at all smooth as glass. Netfilx hulo etc all great. At my wits end. Any tips.. Thanks..

Completely uninstall both iTunes and Quick Time and re-install them as this behavior is not normal. It is for HD content but not for standard definition.
