Exclamation Please help, Asus EEE PC will not work

I have bought an asus eee pc 1001pxd and i also bought a 4gb memory upgrade (One 4GB stick). It now only shows a black screen and will not boot up. Please, Please help me.

That's because you purchased the wrong RAM for your system. It is physically only able to handle 2GB of RAM, that is it and there is absolutely nothing you can do. So, at most, it will be able to handle one 2GB stick of RAM. This is a physical limitation of the actual netbook. Even if you could get 4GB of RAM to somehow magically work, you would need to install a 64-bit version of Windows 7 as your netbook came with Windows 7 Starter and that supports a maximum of 3GB of RAM.
