As I said, go with what you want. However, I feel that you are drastically overpaying for the Acer due to the hardware age, the age of that specific Acer model, etc. $450-$500 wouldn't have been bad but $549 puts it in a whole different category where other manufacturers are actually offering better products for either the same price or less.
