"Cheap" and "netbook" in the same sentence? Wow, that will sure show Lenovo, Sony, and Apple... Oh wait, no it won't. Still nice to see the netbooks at $300 and below. Just goes to show that the $500-$600 (and beyond) price tag that many manufacturers demand is nothing more than asking people to pay for a brand name. The Asus with the Atom N450 processor for $300 was surprising. It may not offer a performance (in terms of speed, not power consumption) benefit over the Atom N270 or N280 processors but that doesn't stop manufacturers from charging a pretty penny for new hardware.
