CES Weekend Netbook Deals

As many of you know, I just got back from reporting live down in Las Vegas for CES (see past coverage and hands on footage here) and I had the opportunity to see next generation netbooks in person. Based on conversations I had over the holiday shopping season many people told me they were waiting for the next generation netbooks to become available before purchasing a netbook, so to help you make your selection I am using this post to show you the best deals on the next generation CES netbooks I've found. All of the following netbooks utilize the new Intel Atom N450 Pinetrail processor which contributes to about a 20%+ increase in battery life and a slight performance boost. I'll start with my pick for the best netbook of CES the Toshiba NB305:

Toshiba Mini NB305-N310 for $349.99: Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz proc, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive (see full specs) available with Windows 7 starter for $399.99 in brown, white and blue

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005PE-PU17-BK for $367.99: Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz proc, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive, 14 hour battery life (see full specs) or in blue for $368.59 also available with 11 hour battery life in black for $329.99 or white for $329.99 as well.

Sony VAIO VPC-W121AX/T Brown for $421.25: Intel Atom N450 1.66 GHz proc, 1 GB RAM, 250 GB hard drive, 7 hour battery life (see full specs) also available in white for $456.69 and pink for $449.84. There are a few other models available, see this list here

As the next generation netbooks come in we should start to see prices of the last generation of netbooks drop. When that does start to occur I'll be sure to include another post for those of you looking to get into a netbook for as cheap as possible.
