    Bestselling Netbooks in October

For the fourth month in a row now the Asus Eee PC 1005HA has topped the sales charts holding down the number 1 slot. The netbook is also currently priced at $358.89 - a netbook I reviewed favorably here. Something else significant occurred in the month of October with the release of Windows 7 netbooks, some of which made the list this month:

    1. ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 10.5 Hour Battery Life $358.89
    2. Acer Aspire One AOD250-1580 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 7.5 Hour Battery Life $299.95
    3. ASUS Eee PC 1005HA-PU1X-BU 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 10.5 Hour Battery Life $353.82
    4. ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BU 10.1-Inch Blue Netbook - 10.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) $376.95
    5. Toshiba Mini NB205-N210 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 9 Hour Battery Life $340.66
    6. ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1005HA-PU17-BK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 10.5 Hours of Battery Life (Windows 7 Starter) $382.99
    7. Samsung N110-12PBK 10.1-Inch Black Netbook - 6 Cell Battery (9.5 Hours) $329.99
    8. HP Mini 110-1050NR 10.1-Inch Netbook $319.99
    9. Samsung N120-12GW 10.1-Inch Netbook - 6 Cell Battery $329.99
    10. Acer Aspire One AOD250 10.1-Inch Netbook - 3+ Hour Battery Life $289.00

There have been several new netbooks on the bestsellers list, but like most months the list has been dominated by the Asus Eee PC 1005HA with 4 of the top 10 spots including 2 versions with Windows 7 starter in blue at $376.95 and black at $382.99. The number 2 netbook is no stranger to the bestsellers list the Acer Aspire One in blue at $299.95 provides a ton of value for that price. The Toshiba Mini NB205 again made it into the top 5 after making for the fourth month in a row, but I'm not that surprised because it's a great netbook. There was also two new additions to the bestsellers list with the Samsung N110 in Black at $329 and the Samsung N120 also in White at $329. But in the end, just like the last 4 months, all manufacturers still have their eyes set on the Asus Eee PC 1005HA the current bestseller.

Which netbook do you want to buy will you stick with Windows XP and try and snag some of the deals before they sell out? Or is it out with the old and in with the new?

I think the Asus Eee PC 1005HA will continue to dominate the sales charts, but I believe the Windows XP edition will slowly fall only to be replaced by the Windows 7 version.

    2. Chris says:

Hey Timothy, you’re probably right about that change. I tend to agree that the Windows XP will fall off because they’ll stop making them, but I’m still not sold on the Windows 7 version taking over. I think an Ion powered netbook will eventually win out.

    3. Brad says:

Yes – the ION powered netbooks will reign supreme. Who wants to watch choppy HD video when you can watch fluid HD video AND play some of the latest games.

I bet the HP Mini 311 will take over.
