Bestselling Netbooks in July

As July comes to a close we finally have a new victor as the bestselling netbook in July - the Asus Eee PC 1005HA. Currently priced at $378, the Asus Eee PC 1005HA with a 10.5 hour battery life is the new champion. In May and June it has been the Asus Eee PC 1000HE all the way ($374.95 right now). I made a prediction last month the the Asus Eee PC 1005HA would take over the number one spot and sure enough it came true but it's amazing that the 1005HA appears 4 times in the top 10! I'm also surprised by just how quickly the Asus Eee PC 1008HA has fallen out of contention (currently located in the 24th spot at $415.98).

I know sometimes I talk about the Asus netbooks too often; however, this is partly because they're continuous best sellers and I've owned a few of them now. But I want to spend a few moments to point out the other highlights from the list. The Acer Aspire One AOD150 for $319.99 is an absolutely amazing price on a great brand and netbook. If you're buying a netbook on price alone go with this one. The Toshiba NB205 is also a notable addition at number 5 for $348.99. If you're buying a netbook strictly on price and want a better battery life too - buy the Toshiba Mini NB205.

Overall, it's an exciting time to be a netbook shopper right now. You can get an amazing netbook with a stellar 10 hour battery life (MFG) for less than $400 and it will have all the qualities of a more expensive laptop.
