I bought the ASUS 1005PE-MU17-BK based on Chris' musings from CES and am delighted. $330 at Amazon.com, and I have to keep reminding myself it's not a laptop. Loaded up tons of stuff (using a thumb drive) and it runs everything well. Haven't fully tested the battery life yet, but it certainly hasn't died on me. Very quick to start up, easy to use (still learning Windows 7), networks on my home network either wireless or wired with no issues. And it is so small and light to carry, it's a joy.
