    Best Netbooks 2011

With a new year comes great, new netbooks. 2011 is looking like it's going to be a great year for netbooks and there are a lot of great deals out there. I've put together this list of some of the best netbooks of the year. I looked at how powerful the machine one, how long the battery last, what kind of display it had and other important factors to ensure that people are getting the best netbooks they can. But, if none of these netbooks fit within what you're looking for, I'd definitely suggest checking out some of the other netbook deals available right now.

    Best Budget Class Netbooks:

ASUS Eee PC 1001PX-EU27-BK 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black)

I picked this one because of a couple of reasons. First, it's only $259.99. That's a great deal for a netbook. However, just looking at some of the specs, it's obvious that this is a great budget priced netbook. Some of those specs are:

    • 1.66 GHz Intel Atom N450
    • 250 GB SATA Hard Drive

It's definitely a machine that, for a budget, still will do some great things for anyone that wants it. For complete specs, Click Here.

    Other Great Budget Buys:
    Toshiba NB505-N508BL 10.1-Inch Netbook (Blue)
Dell Inspiron Mini 1018 4034CLB Netbook (Clear Black)

    Ideal Buyer:

This is ideal for someone that just needs a second machine, but doesn't need a powerhouse. It is ideal for running programs like Microsoft Word and other basic programs. It's not a machine that touts a powerful battery, but the user isn't one that needs it to last for half a day or is going on resource intensive websites such as YouTube.

    Best Long Lasting Battery Netbooks

ASUS Eee PC 1015PEM-PU17-BK 10.1-Inch Netbook (Black)

This netbook was chosen because it can last for 13 hours. While it isn't a new netbook for 2011, it is still the reigning champion in regards to battery length. It has DDR3 instead of DDR2 RAM and it has the Intel Atom N550 Dual Core processor which gives it some great power.

    Ideal Buyer:

The ideal buyer of this machine is someone who needs it to last for a long time. For long business trips or viewings of movies, this machine is great because of the 13 hours that it can stay alive.

    Best Graphically Advanced Netbook

ASUS Eee PC 1015PN-PU17-WT 10.1-Inch Netbook (White)

This machine boasts the Intel Atom N550 which, in itself, is great because of the Dual Core. However, add on the Nvidia Ion2 platform and it's obvious why this machine is a graphics powerhouse. However, because it only has 1GB of RAM, there are some situations where other machines might be quicker. The ideal fix for this is to throw a second gig of RAM in (this machine can hold up to 2GB) and then it'll be even better.

    Ideal Buyer:

Someone who is going to be viewing a lot of HD video and wants to really get that high quality picture on their screen. Someone who is willing to give up a bit on the length of the battery, but in return, gain a lot of quality viewing. It is a great machine for everyday Internet surfing and checking out resource intensive websites.

    Best Netbook Over 10 Inches

ASUS Eee PC Seashell 1215N-PU17-BK 12.1-Inch Netbook with 6 Hours of Battery Life - Black

With a 12.1 inch screen, this machine is quite a bit bigger than the smaller 10 inch screens so commonly purchased for Netbooks. However, it is still smaller than your typical laptop. Some of the specs on this are:

    • Intel Dual Core D525 (1.88GHz)
    • Nvidia ION 2 Graphics
    • 250 GB HD
    • 12.1 Inch Screen

    Ideal Buyer:

This is ideal for someone who just wants a bigger screen, but still wants that small netbook feel. Ideal for someone who wants a larger keyboard and screen for working and viewing information while sacrificing some battery life.

    Wrap Up:

These are what I'd purchase in these four categories of netbooks. They are top of the line machines and the prices are really reasonable considering what you're getting. Check out the netbook comparison grid to get a better idea on what machines are better than others.
