Asus Eee PC 1008HA with Windows 7 Hands On
Asus took the time to send me over the latest Asus Eee PC 1008HA iteration for me to put it through it's paces. The netbook is an upgrade over the last Asus Eee PC 1008HA in the sense that it now has 2 GB of RAM instead of 1 GB of RAM and the hard drive is up to 320 GB from 160 GB in the first 1008HA iteration. This unit is among the Windows 7 netbooks that are available for pre-order on Amazon now. Here is the specific model I got to test.

Nice comparison video. I see that the old Asus Eee Pc 1008HA is on sale now, do you still think it’s worth it to buy the new one with better specs and Windows 7 home premium?
Yes, definitely go for the Asus Eee PC 1008HA with Windows 7 Home Premium. I believe the price difference is only $80 or so to buy the better netbook.

How about 1005HA-P with Win7 and 250GB HD($387).
You can upgrade ram 1gb to 2gb($40) . Total will be $437
And 1005HA-P battery life is 10.5 hours.
I like design of 1008HA but I think battery life is very important for netbooks.
What do you think about design ? 1008HA is so different?
Also I got confuse with new win7 1005HA-P models. Does it have 1.3 megapixel or 0.3 megapixel webcam?
I check 1005HA-PU17-BK descripion on amazon, it says 0.3 megapixel on top but bottom of page it shows 1.3 megapixel.
